Spring is here, and that means fresh gear. We are very happy because we just put the finishing touches on our first pair of sneakers. To celebrate the release of Rob Roy's album King Warrior Magician Lover, we designed a customized pair of jet black Chuck Taylors. Love Brigade created a shoe that reflects Rob Roy's eclectic and progressive personality.

New York, NY, April 29, 2009: Love Brigade, the culturally aware and musically charged NYC-based collective has launched the first part of their branding and merchandising project for Rob Roy (LA). The three owners and senior designers of Love Brigade have also been noted for producing projects with other musicians such as Cut Copy, The White Tie Affair, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, The Pennyroyals, Izza Kizza, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and have styled many more celebrities and musicians.

The Rob Roy project is comprised of branding/identity, overseeing creative direction, producing a music video, designing tour merch, and even designing a pair of custom sneakers. Love Brigade will work closely with Rob Roy’s management and the artist himself to communicate his personal image to the public.

As a part of the first phase, Love Brigade recently finalized the new official logo for Rob Roy and produced album art for his first album, titled “King Warrior Magician Lover”. Love Brigade’s marketing team will also manage creative assets and direction for Rob Roy’s online presence.



The sneakers, dubbed “Rob Roy’s”, have been released as of today and are available for special order on www.lovebrigade.com. At $99.99 USD, customers can own a pair of customized, jet black Chuck Taylor’s designed to reflect Rob Roy’s eclectic and progressive personality.





In mid-May, Love Brigade will be producing Rob Roy’s second music video in collaboration with cult streetwear brand Alife and Dub Frequency. The music video, for the artist’s next single “Velvet Rope Blue”, will be shot and edited by Love Brigade.

HUM1 Recycled Bags for Humanisma

HUM1 Bags now at Love Brigade + Friends. We had the rare opportunity of meeting Dorianne Cuénoud, the generous creator behind HUM1. She showed up from Switzerland on a rainy day in Brooklyn and the rest was history. It was a charming experience, and we hope to see her again soon. For now, you MUST come to the store and at least see the bags she makes. Come see us this weekend and put one on to see how it feels :).

HUM1- when innertubes become bags, wallets, and belts!

HUM1 sells different products, each hand made, created with used materials. The innertubes are recycled truck tires which are individually washed, cut, glued and sewn until they become a perfectly functional HUM1 item.

HUM1 was created to raise funds for the non-profit association Humanisma,
which works to promote
health and education in different part of the world. Proceeds from sale help finance various Humanisma projects.

By buying HUM1 you are helping these humanitarian efforts. At present, Humanisma is helping a village in Cameroun build a health center and running it independently. Humanisma is also participating in health and educational projects in Burkina Faso and

Someone else we don't see enough of this side of the Pond is Ed Banger Records' fabulous DJ Feadz - who is one of the very best DJs on the label's roster. This guy KILLS it every time - his sets are pure insanity... He's the guy who produced all of Uffie's tracks with Mr. Oizo and we are happy to have him back in New York.
