Hey guys, its Tinypants! We've been really busy at Love Brigade designing our Autumn/Winter 2010 collection and getting ready to expand our New York Store to three times its size! We are also moving our creative studio and sales office to a secret location.

St Louis Fashion Week was incredible! Runway photos coming soon! But first....

There's a lot happening right now, but I wanted to give you a photo recap of what happened in St. Louis. We were reunited with Bolongaro Trevor and Wrath Arcane. Much love to Kait, Stuart, and Sean. And, once again, we were blessed with an amazing team who made our runway show a smooth success. I literally have 1 more minute to post the rest of this blog, so forgive me if I missed a thank you! In Love Brigade style, we are presenting our Mens and Womens collections through a series of entrancing experiences, ranging from a drive-in car scene to a posh living room cocktail party. Reminiscent of our acclaimed Spring/Summer 09 presentation, each scene will showcase an installation of models, incorporating the ongoing vision of ‘Revival’ to perfection.

The chosen venue, “The Space On 8th”, is located at 213 N. 8th St. in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Show times are at 8PM and 9PM and are open to the press and general public. Alex English, our pal from GBH, made a suprise visit to Love Brigade + Friends this past week. He was on a mission - a mission for pants. We obliged with our Black Sateen Dangerpants (only $98!!!!). These are the perfect spring/summer jeans. They are dressy, they are casual, you can roll them up, roll in them, and do yoga.

Alex is the go-to-guy - DJ/promoter/smallest man on the planet/beardy. Week after week, Alex puts together the biggest, baddest, most slammin'est dance extravaganzas in NY. Tinypants: When you hear the words "Love Brigade", what's the first thing that comes to mind?
Becs: An army full of love

Tinypants: How did you go from Jersey-girl become an LA transplant?

Becs: I definitely upped the stylish factor when I moved from (north) NJ to LA, which you can see from the photos. I bought that top at one of those cheap boutiques in The Village. Everyday LA style is laid-back chic. Even if I go out in a plain t-shirt and jeans, I’ll still thrown on a great pair of shoes. I’ve been in LA for five years now and have definitely grown as an individual and developed my own personal style. I’m more in tune with what works for me and what doesn’t, but still take risks and like to experiment and try new things.

Tinypants: Can fashion save lives?
Becs: Realistically? No. But fashion does make life and the world a little more beautiful, unpredictable, exciting and inspirational. Fashion allows you to connect with others, but at the same time, lets you express your individuality, and in a way, your personal outlook on life. Over the years, I’ve learned not to save anything for a special occasion because every day you’re alive is a special occasion.

Tinypants: Your favorite LOLcat and why?
Becs: How can you not help but smile when you see this LOLcat? He’s too cute. I’d like to think he’s referring to his dance skills and I love to dance, so this is my favorite one.

Over the weekend, we had the great pleasure of hosting an in-store event at Redeem with Sean, Dana, and Brittany of Wrath Arcane. We also made a new friend, Davina of Plastic Heaven. Lori, the owner of Redeem, is a kindred spirit. Her team of assistants and especially her husband are just too amazing for words. This is the kind of boutique we enjoy being in. We debuted our Spring/Summer collections and mingled with DC! Lovely town, AWESOME restaurants, and great people. Repeat visits to this thriving neighborhood are indefinite. MTV Brasil came by our retail space and studio in January and interviewed Alyssa Key, Tinypants, and Jamie Rockaway as their first featured designer for their new fashion/music/art show. The show, called IT MTV, walks the streets of NY to get the scoop on Fashion, with an F! It has a comical tone and approaches fashion with humor (just the way we like it!). We were so small compared to the team that filmed and interviewed us. We would say they were two times as tall, literally! You'll see what it looks like when Love Brigade talks to giants. The three owners and senior designers of Love Brigade have also been noted for producing projects with other musicians such as Cut Copy, The White Tie Affair, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, The Pennyroyals, Izza Kizza, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and have styled many more celebrities and musicians.

The Rob Roy project is comprised of branding/identity, overseeing creative direction, producing a music video, designing tour merch, and even designing a pair of custom sneakers. Love Brigade will work closely with Rob Roy’s management and the artist himself to communicate his personal image to the public.

As a part of the first phase, Love Brigade recently finalized the new official logo for Rob Roy and produced album art for his first album, titled “King Warrior Magician Lover”. Love Brigade’s marketing team will also manage creative assets and direction for Rob Roy’s online presence.

The sneakers, dubbed “Rob Roy’s”, have been released as of today and are available for special order on www.lovebrigade.com. At $99.99 USD, customers can own a pair of customized, jet black Chuck Taylor’s designed to reflect Rob Roy’s eclectic and progressive personality.

In mid-May, Love Brigade will be producing Rob Roy’s second music video in collaboration with cult streetwear brand Alife and Dub Frequency. The music video, for the artist’s next single “Velvet Rope Blue”, will be shot and edited by Love Brigade.

HUM1 Bags now at Love Brigade + Friends. We had the rare opportunity of meeting Dorianne Cuénoud, the generous creator behind HUM1. She showed up from Switzerland on a rainy day in Brooklyn and the rest was history. It was a charming experience, and we hope to see her again soon. For now, you MUST come to the store and at least see the bags she makes. Come see us this weekend and put one on to see how it feels :).

HUM1- when innertubes become bags, wallets, and belts!

HUM1 sells different products, each hand made, created with used materials. The innertubes are recycled truck tires which are individually washed, cut, glued and sewn until they become a perfectly functional HUM1 item.

HUM1 was created to raise funds for the non-profit association Humanisma,
which works to promote
health and education in different part of the world. Proceeds from sale help finance various Humanisma projects.

By buying HUM1 you are helping these humanitarian efforts. At present, Humanisma is helping a village in Cameroun build a health center and running it independently. Humanisma is also participating in health and educational projects in Burkina Faso and

Three times a year, Love Brigade offers internships to chosen applicants in the following areas:

Fashion design
~~Graphic design~~ position closed
Fashion merchandising

Before submitting your application, please refer to our detailed listing on Craigslist: Spring Internship Position Details. These positions undergo specialized programs which offer real-world experience while ensuring proper training for the industry. Please attach a cover letter. "I'm the Izza Kizza!"

Love Brigade was recently asked to style rapper, Izza Kiza, Timbaland's new protege'. We sent Alyssa Key and Jeanette Converse(our ninja!) to bring a new and fresh Lower East Side-esque style to the gorgeous girls of his new music video, "I'm the Izza Kiza". These are not your average video girls. They are strong, ambitious women with fire in their eyes and sexy skirts around their waists. Pair that with edgy T-shirts and punky accessories. These women don't chase Izza Kiza in the clubs, they sign him to their own record labels. Much like the Love Brigade woman herself.

The video will feature some of our most amazing pieces from Sessen IV, Love, Kurt, and Ex Oh. There was also some fabulous pieces used from Manslaughter for Mishka and Worship Worthy.

Be sure to keep an eye out for the debut of "I'm the Izza Kiza" featuring styling from Love Brigade most likely due out after the holidays.

Jamie Rockaway, one-third of our collective, is on a life-changing journey in Argentina. It's been many years since he has seen his family, but in a about one week, he will be giving a very special Christmas present to them. Jamie is traveling all over Argentina and making a surprise visit to reconnect with his family. We miss him dearly, and look forward to his return to his home at Love Brigade.
